During December,
our home is at its warmest and loveliest (at least we think so),
as we look forward to the holiday season.

We cosy up with the fire in the Living Room ....

The Dining Room table is festive, and always includes a dish of traditional Danish Christmas cookies.

The star of Bethlehem in the front, along with candles in the windows, are welcoming lights guiding friends to our doors.

From the kitchen table, we watch the winter sunlight slowly come down the barren mountain behind our home to the river valley.

|
Or from the same warm vantage point, we watch the river freeze over and become covered with snow.
|
The accumulating snow cover brings the bird feeders slowly "closer" to the ground.
