Julius (6) and Celia (3) came up with Nissa in late July. A few days later Tyra arrived with Oliver (2 months). Then Carys and Adam (3) came for 10 days. All together, family was with us for three weeks. A great time, but tiring for Granddad and Murmur who are used to a quiet home.


The old cistern attracts the children as they hunt frogs and tadpoles.

Nissa hasn't lost her touch her touch when it comes to comforting a small baby. Oliver often found contentment in Murmur's arms.

... and Oliver ignores it all.

Mid-summer the gardens are at their most colorful ...

... but Oliver was quite content with the toys closer at hand.
