Inter-Library Loan Requests

If you have a Putney Public Library card, and there is a book or other item that we do not have, we can get it for you from another library—usually within a week or two. There is no fee for this service, but we do appreciate donations to offset the postage costs associated with inter-library loans ($1.50 per item suggested).

To request an item not in our own collection, call us at 387-4407, or stop by with the title and author of the book you would like to borrow. We will call you when it arrives at the library. If you do not pick up the book(s) you requested, you will be charged $1.50 per book to cover postage fees.

You can locate the item yourself by clicking on the Vermont Department of Libraries Online and searching libraries throughout the state. If you locate the item at one of these libraries, please note which library on your request form.
